New stallion for Cobbitty.

Cobbitty Equine Farm has secured a major addition to its stallion roster for the upcoming breeding season, with Meadowlands Pace hero Best In Show (1:48) set to stand at stud.

A top-class performer on the track, Best In Show announced himself among the elite of his generation when capturing the prestigious Meadowlands Pace in a blistering 1:48 mile. In that victory, he defeated a star-studded field that included Captain Crunch, Bettor’s Wish, US Captain and Captain Ahab.

The impeccably bred stallion is a son of champion sire Bettor’s Delight from the outstanding racemare Put On A Show p,5,1:47.3m ($2.4 million), a World Champion and Dan Patch Award winner.

His pedigree is packed with elite performers. Best In Show is a half-brother to It’s My Show, winner of the Little Brown Jug and North America Cup during his outstanding three-year-old campaign.

The family depth extends even further, with his granddam Stienams Place producing the exceptional Showherthemoney, a seven-time classic winner whose victories included the Group 1 Jugette and Nadia Lobell Stakes at three.

Combining world-class speed, an outstanding race record and one of the most sought-after maternal families in North American harness racing, Best In Show shapes as an exciting addition to the Australian breeding ranks at Cobbitty Equine Farm.
