A 70% Winners Strike Rate Puts Soho Tribeca on Every Breeder’s Radar.

Soho Tribeca, a seven-time Group winning son of the great American Idea,l now a successful sire

With breeding season fast approaching, one stallion that deserves far more attention than he’s been getting is Soho Tribeca — a young sire who has quietly built an exceptional record while flying under the commercial radar.

His racetrack credentials were elite, but it’s his stud performance that has surged ahead. From just 93 starters, Soho Tribeca has already produced 65 individual winners, an outstanding 70% runners‑to‑winners strike rate — and his oldest progeny are only four. He has also sired three $100,000‑plus earners, underlining the value he is delivering at a modest $3,300 (inc GST) service fee.

At the halfway mark of the current season, Soho Tribeca has already produced 41 individual winners, continuing his rapid upward trajectory.

Bred in the purple, Soho Tribeca is by American Ideal out of Pixel Perfect, the 2018 Australian Broodmare of the Year and dam of six winners from six foals, including the brilliant Carlas Pixel (1:49.5, $480k). His granddam Amarillen was also crowned Australian Broodmare of the Year, making this one of the most potent maternal families in the Southern Hemisphere.

His yearlings have sold up to $35,000 in the 2026 sales ring, and as more of his stock reach the track, that figure is expected to rise.

On the track, Soho Tribeca was a genuine topliner. He won three Group 1s, three Group 2s, one Group 3, and two Listed races. A Breeders Crown finalist at two, he blossomed at three, winning eight of his 20 starts. At four, he captured the Group 1 WA Golden Nugget and completed a clean sweep of the Vicbred Series. At five, he won two heats of the 2017 Inter Dominion and dominated the $450,000 WA Pacing Cup.

Owned by Perth businessman Robert Watson and standing at Llowalong Farms in Victoria, Soho Tribeca is proving to be far more than a “bred to race” stallion — he is a sire with a pedigree, race record, and early results that stack up against any stallion at stud. At $3,300 including GST, he represents exceptional value for breeders in 2026.
